Course

Elevation & Terrain

The course runs along the core section of Jinshanling Great Wall, featuring stone steps, watchtowers, mountain trails, and scenic roads.

Eligibility

Health restrictions: Not eligible if you have congenital heart disease, hypertension, myocarditis, coronary artery disease, diabetes, flu within 2 weeks, pregnancy, or any other condition unsuitable for strenuous exercise. A medical checkup before race day is strongly recommended.

Bag Drop

✓Bag drop is available at the start area from 6:30 AM until 7:45 AM.
✓Use the designated bag drop tent.
✓Attach your bib’s tear-off tag to your bag.
✓Collect your bag after the finish by presenting your bib.

Important: Do not store valuables. The organizer is not responsible for lost items.

Race Rules

Timing, Cut-Offs & Penalties

TimingChip timing for Full, Half, and 10K. The disposable chip is attached to the bib. 5K Family Fun Run is not timed.

Cut-off & SweepRunners who miss cut-off times at any checkpoint must board the sweep bus to the finish.

Penalties: No bib swapping, no course cutting, and no disobedience of race officials. Violators will be disqualified and banned from future events.

Awards

Great Wall Hero

✓Top 3 male/female in Full, Half, and 10K receive a “Great Wall Hero” trophy and prizes.
✓All finishers receive a finisher medal and digital certificate.
✓No prize money.

Policy

Cancellation, Refund & Deferral

Cancellation: Email your request with subject “Cancellation – [Your Name] – [Bib Number]”. Refunds will be processed within 30 days after the race.

After September 15, runners may defer entry to the 2027 edition one time only. Deferral requests must be submitted before October 1, 2026. Entries are non-transferable.

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure such as government orders or natural disasters, registered runners will receive a 50% refund or deferred entry to the next edition. No additional compensation will be provided.

Insurance

Race Day Coverage

The organizing committee provides accident insurance for all runners and staff on race day. Coverage is based on the registration information provided. Incorrect information may void coverage.

Runners are encouraged to purchase their own supplemental insurance.

Travel

Transportation & Accommodation

Shuttle bus service between Beijing and Jinshanling is included for all international runners, including pure race entry and package buyers.

Race day shuttle: Departure from Agricultural Exhibition Center at 5:30 AM. Round trip bus ticket is included in the entry fee or package.

Recommended hotels near Agricultural Exhibition Center are available on the official website. Travel packages include hotel accommodation.
